I woke up early (for me) at around 6 am and got dressed way earlier than I needed to. My outfit consisted of a home-made green tabard (thanks to my mom!), brown pants and a white tunic, along with black accessories from Amazon and Etsy. I also finally had a chance to wear the chainmail veil I bought a few years ago!
I didn't get many pictures, as I wanted to try to live in the moment, but my friends and I looked so good! My friend, Sage (he/him), dressed as a Faun and Novel (they/it) was a clown! Their outfits were incredible and we got a lot of compliments.
I spent so much money but I got some really cool souvenirs. I replaced my empty bottle with a red potion of healing that fit in my bottle holder, it matched my red potion-bottle earrings.
I bought a chainmail dragonfly pin. It was originally a hair clip but the creator was working with the chainmail live at her booth and switched it out for a pin-back! I also got some keychains for me and my folks, and a small necklace with a bottle of mini-dnd-dice in it.
There was also a child-sized wooden sword and shield for decoration, which I plan on hanging in my living room somehow.
We saw some amazing shows, starting with Katy Hicks, a stilt-walking hula-hooper! Her act was a great way to start the day. Later on we saw Crazy Boy Coy (my personal favorite performance), a juggler with a taste for fire. Finally we saw the High Flying fools! Their clownery and acrobatics were very cool! Pester and Soso were very nice when we spoke to them a few times throughout the day!
Oh goodness, I almost forgot! We saw The Dark Knights at the jousting fields! They were incredible and I was cheering on the green and gold knight so hard! His outfit just happened to match my own and the hand-fan I had brought with me from home (it was green and gold!). It was a perfect way to end the day honestly.
In the middle of the day we attempted the DnD activity, but it wasn't as much fun as we had hoped. It was still fun and the people running it were super nice though! I enjoyed it and would do it again, I just would have preferred better instructions.
I saw some amazing costumes and met some amazing people. I will definitely be going back again next year!
