Mini Corn Dog Bites

A recent discovery that I have been obsessed with.

Ingredients


  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together cornmeal, 1 cup flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper. refridgerate for 30 mins.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together ketcup and mustard, set aside
  3. Pour oil into a deep fryer or heavy-bottom sauce pan and heat to 350 degrees Farenheit
  4. Remove batter from fridge. at the hot dogs dry with paper towels. Cut them into thirds and put them in a medium bowl. Sprinkle with remaining flour, tossing to coat.
  5. Spear each hot dog piece with a fork and dunk in batter, coating completely. Using another fork, gently slide the batter-coated hot dog into the hot oil, cooking several at a time. Cook until golden brown, then turn over with a fork and continue cooking until other side is also golden bron (about 3 minutes total)
  6. Drain on paper towl and serve!
