A game for the GameCube, Custom Robo: Battle Revolution is a game I have immense nostalgia for. It was the first game I ever completed by myself (at least, the main story. I never finished the post-game) and a favorite for playing with my siblings in versus mode.

Battle Revolution is an action roleplaying game set in a scifi world. It has some... interesting lore, such as that the people of Dome City actually believe in a flat earth and, if I remember correctly, anyone outside of the Police Force's top officers doesn't know anything about the world outside of Dome City or even why they're living under a dome in the first place. No one really questions this either.
Basically, a being known as Rahu destroyed the world, but a small amount of people were able to escape to the safety of Dome City. Rahu is now back and they have to leave the safety of the dome to ensure Rahu is stopped.
